Equip your Kids & Youth ministry teams to be trauma-informed.

The Homeward Project Trauma-informed Training is designed for you to equip your Kids and Youth Ministry staff and volunteers with understanding of how and why a child from a “hard place” or with a difficult history may behave differently in a church environment. Facilitate this training with your team to empower them with greater knowledge and practical strategies to ensure your programs are safe and inclusive for all children and young people. This training is designed at an introductory level, to be facilitated in under two hours.

Training Resources

The Homeward Project team will provide training and support for you to deliver the training using these resources:

  • Facilitator Guide

Your guide for planning and facilitating the training, including preparation, FAQs, the key concepts for each video, and scenarios for putting the pieces together.

  • Participant Booklet

A downloadable resource for participants, including key concepts from each video, fill-in-the-blanks, and reflection and discussion questions.
